Best times for bouldering in Val di Mello
The climate in Val di Mello is Mediterranean, making bouldering possible at almost any time of year. The months from May to October in particular offer ideal conditions, with mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine (if you want it), but also numerous areas that are in the shade all day (e.g. in the forest). Spring and autumn are particularly pleasant, as the temperatures are moderate and the number of tourists is still manageable.
In summer it can get a little hot in the valley, but due to the high mountains in the background you can always find shady spots to climb. If you want to avoid the summer temperatures, you can let off steam on the rocks in the early mornings or late afternoons. In the summer months, you can also benefit from the true Italian flair with long, balmy evenings, good pizzas and Aperol.
